It just happened that way because at the first showing of the very first Tom & Jerry cartoon, just after the names appeared onscreen, the audience started chanting: "Jerry! Jerry!"

You could create a new cartoon show and make the cat the obvious hero that constantly thwarts the evil plans of the mouse.

today i heard a group of guys riding around on segways call them future bikes. i now want one even less

well segway drive bys are only done with paintball or nerf guns

the paintball option would still be quite painful if the target was not wearing protective gear. I'd opt for the nerf guns.
