I knew they had gotten together a couple times when they happened to be in the same place at the same time.
However, I was thrown off by Dana's long ago assertion that Bob couldn't ask her to marry him on their first meeting. I mean it was joking of course but I thought that she was serious too, and then her singleness thread.
I figured it was someone in Minnesota or something.

If it doesn't work, at least one of us would have to leave Hatrack in utter disgrace and embarrassment.
You don't call that pressure?????!!!
I mean, I've got the post count thing going for me, but Dana is actually useful here.
Anyway, thanks Dan.
U2 Vana.
Dana had some stuff to deal with (she's actually working, unlike me) so I'm not sure if she can pop in to see all these nice wishes right now... But I'm sure she'll be back later.

Shigosei... I was actually trying to get her to describe how mushy she is about me, but for some reason, it didn't work.
I am a very lucky guy, though. I'm not sure I deserve it (or deserver it as Dan so eloquently put it ) but I'm not about to stop just because I don't feel worthy.
I'll just have to try to live up to my potential from here on out.

I was wondering when you'd figure that part out.
Now, I'm wondering if you'll figure out of the rest of it - the part that being a gentleman, etc. dictates about just who that will be.
(Don't mean to make too much light of it - been in analagous situations myself. Took some risks when I followed my heart with Diane.)

Posable_Man tried to clue me in. But when he kept putting his hands to his heart, then putting them together and bowing his head and then pointing to the NorthEast, I thought that he was saying that he was praying for Boston Red Sox fans whose hearts had been broken by the A-Rod trade.
My mistake. May your relationship flourish and grow like a last post thread.

I figured as much. My post was more reflective of "end of the day" lack of impulse control than anything else.
Like everyone else so far, it's nice to see two neat people find each other. Can't speak for others, but I don't think any farther than that.

BTW, since I was raised a Mormon, I don't have any godparents who spoil and indulge me. But there's nothing in my theology that preculdes the idea. So you know, if you two are up for it, the position is open...

I am as mushy as the slush and mud in my front yard after a three-day thaw.
Not a particularly romantic metaphor, but it’s the one that popped to mind. I just walked through it.
I’m glad you guys know. It was hard having something so important going on and not telling Hatrack. Thank you all for making this forum the kind of place we both liked so much that we hung around long enough to fall for each other. Posts: 9866 | Registered: Apr 2002

I'm going to break my own rule and use an animated smilie here:
I had no clue. But then again, I'm the gullible one.
Does this mean that we can have another Harack spring romance meme? Yay! Kisses all around!
Now you both will be receiving invitations to the secret "Hatrack Couples Only" parties. Mwa ha ha ha ha!

Spring is here, spring is here! Life is skittles, life is beer. I think the loveliest time of the year is the spring. I do, don't you? 'Course you do. But there's one thing that makes spring complete for me, And makes ev'ry Sunday a treat for me.
All the world seems in tune On a spring afternoon . . . ♫
