Excellent example of why you have to be careful about who's testimony you base your faith on...

Verbatim, you keep saying you're leaving, but you're still here. Do you need help packing or something?

Verbatim, if you want any credibility on this, STOP DELETING YOUR POSTS. That way people could judge for themselves instead of trying to decide if they should believe a newbie or someone who they've gotten to know over the course of years.

Yes, port, every village needs an idiot...but Hatrack already has ME, so this one shouldn't be prevented from leaving, right? right?

Halvah is ground up sesame seeds sweetened and made into a candy, sometimes flavored, sometimes chocolate covered. Very rich, and incredibly good. But it is an acquired taste.

kat, halvah is a candy made from ground sesame seeds, honey and -- um, not sure what else, those are the main ingredients, I think. It's yummy, but I think an acquired taste. Remind me closer to the date, and I'll bring some to ChicagoCon.

In case Verbatim is still here, here's a little factoid for his edification.
Nobody can delete anyone's posts except the moderators and the person who wrote the posts. The moderators have not been deleting any posts lately. If your posts are disappearing, you may want to look inward.

Mrs. Card is gonna give us a tongue lashing when she gets home and finds all these candy wrappers on the floor. We should clean it up now, so she'll never know.

Frisco, you're making me blush. Although I'm delighted to be lumped in with Banna and Tom. It's highly amusing.
Rivka, that would be cool. I'm all for trying things - I aquired a taste for tonic water rather quickly.

Oh good grief, don't make me 15 again. That really is my own private version of Dante's Inferno.

Thank you Derrell. Mmmm...halvah AND chocolate...the perfect food!
*grin*
And now I am going to stop posting in this thread because I am getting perilously close to the 1000 mark. Eep!

I'm reading The Dante Club right now and supplementing it with translations of the Inferno. You're a sick, brilliant man, Alighieri.

Wow, this thread has been very entertaining. Thank you.

Unless there was someone who was here previously with that screen name, as I recall, it was DevoutMormon.

:bites tongue: Yes, this was a very fast thread, wasn't it?
Velvet J is a cool name.
Mr. Portiero Head, there is no way Verbatims actions could be attributed to ignorance. Verbatim deleted it's own thread and then tried to get everyone to believe kat did it. He was ignorant of the mechanics of thread deletion, but that doesn't make him ignorant of trying to entrap someone else.
