Oh!

Samwise Gamgee. I'm a sucker for noble-hearted, humble, sweet heroes.

--o--

Olivet: I don't know, but I do know that I spent the summer of being 14 crying my eyes out for Raistlin. I was so enamored I was drawn to noble-hearted (I thought), totured Goth guys for years afterward.

LOL, kat. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I also had this bing thing for Sherlock Holmes. I even wrote a one-act play for my best friend and me to be Holmes and Watson. Never put it on. I loved him because he was so darned smart, and yet... cold. And yeah, sort of tortured, I guess, with the cocaine habit and all.

Hmm.. I'll bet Ender falls under the "tortured and noble" rubric as well.

This thread has taught me that no matter how horrible a guy is, some girl will have a crush on him. Kinda sad, really. But also really heartening.

I've got a weird thing for Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange...book and movie. Why? I don't know. I just don't know.

Among other unusual crushes are TNG Data...and when I was little, I had a crush on Megaman. [Razz]

You know, I can't think of a woman in fiction that I have a crush on. How interesting.

Dan, she's my avatar on saxon's forum. I got super bonus geek points for naming the actress in my AP English class when we were watching the BBC version of Hamlet. (Where Picard was cleary violating the prime directive)

I liked Colin Farrell as Bullseye. He's just so over-the-top. And he kills people. Rawr. [Razz]

Oooo

Some of you may remember I mentioned I had a thang for Alex Krychek, the one-armed triple agent assassin guy on the X-files. He killed people, including Mulder's father, and he tortured AD Skinner with nanocytes. He spoke Russian sometimes. Rawr. And he got the crap beaten out of him frequently, by just about everybody. That was a cool character. He was slimy and tough (despite getting beat up by that sissy Mulder). What a character. [Big Grin]

The first was "Boy" from hte Johnny Weismuller versions of Tarzan. Half naked running through the Jungle! Also the boy from HR PuffnStuff I think his name was Jack. These were at about 8 & 10 years old.

Current/recent:

Roland of Gilead the Gunslinger
Lestat, Louis, and Armand
Alvin Smith
Adult Ender
Various Pern Dragonriders

I've never looked at this side of Hatrack before today - I like it

*puts on to do list: See Trekkies*

A couple years back I was doing some random web search and stumbled across this site.

I looked at the girl's artwork and thought, "Gee, a lot of these guys sure look like Brent Spiner/Data." I guess she has a pretty big crush! If you are a fan, take a look. You will be amused.
