the smalls - Tell Us About It the smalls were an amazingly talented punk band with Jazz, Country, and rock influences. Their bass player, Corb Lund, has gone on to have a pretty successfull career in country music both in Canada (he is from Alberta) and in the U.S.

Guster. Lots of Guster lately. Lost and Gone Forever in the car, Parachutes here. I like Guster. If Ben ever leaves me or drops dead or something else tragic, I'm going to start stalking Brian the percussionist. Because he plays bongos, and that's just hot.

Nightwish - Ever Dream I'm still in the "learning" phase with this band, trying to get used to the songs so that I can feel the "hidden beauty" in them. Trying hard with some of them...

The Animals - The House of the Rising Sun We're playing it in my band class and it's kind of odd hearing the opening lyrics "There is a house in New Orleans"..."It's been the ruin of many poor boys"
