I will bring homemade veggie dip and veggies, chips, and Jennni will make a dessert...she can't make up her mind which though, but it will be safe for us all to eat, probably.
Kat, just let us know when and we will see if we can set up something in May for you, even if it is just to meet you for dinner somewhere. If you are heading to Maine you are peobably heading up I91, which goes within 1/4 a mile from our house.

What time frame are we looking at for tomorrow? I know that Ela and crew said their Sabbath ends at 6:30 (i think), so we are planning a little bit later of a gathering, right? I am working until 7 pm, but I will probably leave work a bit early.
I have plenty of time built up to cover it, so I don't think it will be a problem.

Sun sets around 5:40 friday and saturday (around 5:30 further east here in Boston). Why I know this would require a whole different post.
I should probably ask my fiancee if she'd be willing to head out west, but since we're going out there the following weekend for birthday celebrations, so we'll probably not make it.

We may not be able to leave until at least 7ish, because we have to do the ceremony for the end of the Sabbath. That doesn't mean the party can't start at 6, but if it does, we'll be late.

JaneX, Any time is fine. Even if we wanted to, their is no room to sit down at a table, so it is a buffet deal.
Myr and Kwea et all, I will send out directions tomorrow AM. I just got back from a friend's house, and I am pooped.
Mack should come via Rte 2, I think.95 S to 495 S to 2 W to 202 S. (You are near 95, right? or not?)

"Just as a reminder, if there's food, my family and I need something vegetarian."
OK, I am making spinach lasagna, and something with whole wheat macaroni for Mack.
Unless you are bringing sopmething, Mack? You had mentioned it. It is not necessary, I just don't want to overdo it. I also have the chicken curry, which I tried yesterday, and it is good! (And pretty hot)It comes out a little different every time, but this one is great.
Oh, I also have a big bottle of red wine if anyone wants some(I do), so bring anything else you want to drink. We have some soda, and water, of course.
I have plenty of paper plates, and we do have a little stream running through our property. Wouldn't it be tragic if one of those plates happened to land in it? Someone would have to rescue it, because littering is against the law...

Just for the record, my family and I will be unreachable by phone or email from around 5pm today until sundown tomorrow night. So if we don't get the information this afternoon, we'll have to call someone Saturday night to get it.
My concert this is at 8. I'm imagining my friends will want to go out to eat before hand. I'm not sure they are ready to be introduced to my wacky online world yet. They're still freaked out by all the people I know from more traditional channels.

Sarahdipity, No problem. It sounds like we will have to have another event when Kat comes through. If she tries to say it is not on her way, we will have another kidnapping on our hands.
Jane, my number is (classified.) I forgot to put it on there, so I hope you get it in time.
Kwea and Myr, your directions are next! I have had to write a different set for every group, as you are all coming from different directions. In Kwea's case, i have to find the name of the other end of one of the streets. A great massachusetss tradition is to have a street with a minimum of three names, depending on which direction you are going, or what town line you have crossed. Ugh.

Kwea, last year, we went to a music festival in North Carolina. Steve had gone down with someone else, and I went with another groupie friend.
We had no map. Well, we did, but it only went to Pennsylvania.
Another friend said, "Just take 81 all the way."
We did. We took it all the way almost to friggin Tennessee. Sigh. EIGHT HOURS out of our way. But we still made it for Crow Greenspun, with ten minutes to spare.

No, but I could bring my flute...although I think we might be better off without it, as the last time I played was over a year ago, and the last time I played in public was 5 years ago.

Bring it! My daughter just bailed on trombone. It was when she was practicing with tears rolling down her face that I thought it was time. (She gets very bad headaches when she plays, apparently)
By the way, I was thinking of you as a flute teacher. Would you be interested in that? She has chosen flute as the replacement. (We can discuss this tomorrow)

She is ten. She would be a very much beginner.
She is a natural on recorder. She has always had perfect ptch and tone when singing. (and has always been very good on recorder)Her thing now is that she likes to go pretty much opposite of our recommendations. She has a beautiful voice, but thought chorus was "boring."
Plus, she is up againsat her brother, or feels she is. I could make a whole thread about this. Aidan is pretty much a guitar genius. Alyssa is incredibly talented but has a short term focus.
