I was meandering around wikipedia during my debate tournament yesterday and found this interesting "personality" identifier, that was developed by Carl Jung.

apparently I am an INTJ, and it said this is 1 percent of the population, and I wondered, does the hatrack population have more or less INTJs than average?

So, whats your type??

here is the url.

I vary between INTJ and INFJ each time I take this. I must be somewhere in between on that T/F trait.

I got, "Sorry, there is not enough data to analyze your test."

I wonder how common that one is.

Also ENFJ. I test borderline E and I, but I fit ENFJ lots better. The guy I worked with on this suggested that I was probably a tired E. [Smile]

There was a big long thread on this topic a year or two ago (I'm too tired/lazy to dig it up now) where a lot of people posted their results, and from what I recall Hatrack had a much higher percentage of INTJs than the general population.

Here's the last thread. Yikes, I was wrong -- Tonight and two weeks ago I came up as INTJ; in that thread I'm INTP.

I've taken it more than once, including the "official" one from Myers-Briggs administered by a psychologist, and have always come out ENFP.

INFJ: moderately, moderately, strongly, and slightly expressed, respectively.

However, I think I have come up differently on different tests (although I'm always an F.) And some things in the descriptions just didn't quite fit (although some really did.) But my career recommendations were pretty spot-on, and included my "dream career" (if I had a career.)

# moderately expressed introvert

So I guess I'm an all around moderate? [Dont Know]

The Career recommendations were pretty accurate. I'm actually combining two of the suggested fields (design and education).

When I took the "official" one five years ago, I was an INTP. This test tells me I'm an INTJ but the "J" isn't very strong.

I guess it makes sense.

I'm ususally ENFP. About every 5th time I take the test, I come out an ENTP. I've taken the full on Meyers-Briggs 4 times, twice administered by a therapist, once for a behavioral science course my second time through college, and once by a job. I was, in order of receiving the tests, INFP, ENFP, ENTP, ENFP.

because, you know, everyone wants all the details on me [Wink]

Solid INTJ, if that previous comment was correct and we are supposed to be less than 1%, this is indeed curious. I also seem to have a couple more "very" rather than "moderate" traits.

* very expressed introvert
* distinctively expressed intuitive personality
* very expressed thinking personality
* slightly expressed judging personality

ESTJ - or a Supervisor Guardian, which is cool - it makes me sound like some sort fo heavily armoured paladin figure.

"Mess not with the Anti_Maven, lest ye be smitten. Unless you're organising a party, which is cool with me..."

Can we really define our personalities based on a 20 Questions with a web application????

I'd sooner put my faith in Horoscopes.

I took it again, just out of curiosity. Yep:

quote:
Your Type is
INTJ
Strength of the preferences %
56% Introverted
25% Intuitive
62% Thinking
1% Judging

Qualitative analysis of your type formula

You are:
moderately expressed introvert
moderately expressed intuitive personality
distinctively expressed thinking personality
slightly expressed judging personality

"Slightly" judgemental? I think not.

The J doesn't mean you are judgemental. It means you like a planned, orderly structure to your life and make decisions quickly as opposed to leaving as many options open as possible.

I am another INTJ.

22% Introverted
88% Intuitive
62% Thinking
11% Judging

INTJ (56, 50, 25, 89)

Last time I was
INTJ (33, 62, 1, 89)

If I take this enough times, I could build up a full statistical distribution. That might be interesting to analyze. Wait, you say I score highly on judgement? Hmmm...

I got ENFP this time. It says:

slightly expressed extravert
slightly expressed intuitive personality
moderately expressed feeling personality
slightly expressed perceiving personality

But really most of these could go either way. I'm always one the cusp between introverted and extroverted, in particular.
