Anyone who hasn't applied by noon is going to have to wait until this evening -- I'll be doing away-from-the-office work all afternoon.

I've sent a group mail to the Universe 5 alliance to join the universe 6. This may make some of the non-hatrackers apply as well, but I wanted to make sure everyone knew. Besides, if any of them were spies, the alliance they were spying on would either not be in Uni6 or have to start over, anyway.

This is so cool--I'm playing my Uni5 world Ariel and my Uni6 world Persephone at the same time.

Hey, if anyone remember's this game and enjoyed it, the people who made it recently released a "space pirate" game that I'm trying out, it seems interresting so far.

I cannot play this game without becoming totally obsessive about it. (As in "I've got to log in so I can send my ships to my other planet so they won't be destroyed! You don't understand - if I don't send them now, they'll be all gone and it will be all your fault!") There are other games I play and obsess over, but not as bad as ogame. So I must stay away from it for the sake of my sanity and my family.

Hmm, I failed to see that this was a fairly old thread and I've started playing Ogame on Universe six. I don't suppose anyone still hangs around thereabouts?

Wow, I was pretty surprised to see this one bumped. Ahh, the good old days when I had high cubicle walls to conceal playing Ogame at work. The game was pretty fun for a while.

*sigh* Now I'm going to be addicted to this Dark Pirates game. I didn't mean to, I just wanted to see what it was, and now I'm out there robbing transports. Oh, and nice mugging MEC. I'll get you next time Gadg... MEC!

Did I attack you vonk? sorry. Well, you don't have to worry about me anymore, I quit. I don't want to dedicate that much time to it. That and the pay-to-play guy's missles were annoying. I had a stronger ship than anyone else in the game, but their stupid missles would kill me anyway.

Sorry, I already sold all the stuff and donated it to my old alliance. Besides, you can't send stuff to other players.

Going back and forth between a few colonies that are close is best for starting out. Write down what the various minerals are selling for, so that you can have a reference (stock and prices change every hour). Buy when the minerals are low in price, and sell at higher. It works best when you can form a loop of colonies to both sell and buy at each.
Once you have enough you should buy a new ship with a bigger cargo hold, enableing you to carry more than one type of mineral at a time. I first upgraded to the Sunfox then eventually the Conqueror.
I have a list of the minerals and price ranges that I've found:

thanks man, I should be building ships soon. I have a heck of a production base building up. The price guide should really really help.
