Man, this thread has become barren in my absense!! I've been working like a slave since Christmas. The restaurant is having major issues, top to bottom. Kitchen to service staff. BIG mess. Least to say, tips haven't been great.
I'm on my way to Phoenix today. Kings/Suns game tomorrow night. I'm SO excited!!! I can in no way afford such an adventure, but luckily the tickets are free. Loooooong story. Hope everything's well with everybody. Bid me safe journey!

Although times are still hard, I just found my silver lining...
MY PRISON SENTENCE IS OVER!!!! I'm gonna need some hugs this evening... Just make me feel a little better about myself somehow... I wanna go crawl in a hole somewhere...I feel pathetic and lonely and stupid, and I hate feeling this way.
Actually, having met you, I think it's time you drop this self-effacing thing and just acknowledge to yourself and others what a terrific person you are. It'll make things easier for all of us, including yourself.
In the meantime, here's another hug (((Ryuko))) because we all feel that way from time to time.

Hi everyone! Still in France, still not much internet access ( I am 1800m up a mountain ) but I do need hugs, cos.....
I broke my arm getting off the ski lift! So no more skiing for me. It's my right arm, which makes things (such as getting dressed, or taking a shower) a bit of an adventure, but I'm plodding through.
And pain killers help a lot.
I'll probably post a topic about the whole trip when I get home, but for now hugs will do.

I was going to make a comment about it being either a thread to ask Raia queastions (I've hear her referred to as Yenta before, and not a Yenta, just Yenta), either that or people would think there was going to be a Hatrack dateing service.
[it is not a coincidence that my concept of a Yenta is identical to Raia's, she explained it to me when a friend of hers called her that]

A yenta is as I've defined it above -- a motormouth or gossip. Yenta (a name, thus capitalized) is a character in Fiddler on the Roof. She is the garrulous matchmaker. I have occasionally heard such people referred to as 'Yenta's. But to those who speak Yiddish, the literal meaning of yenta is far more used.
Ok, so 'Ask the Yenta' is right out. Any suggestions?

I've been trying to avoid this thread. I pretty much shun affection because it shuns me, but between posting here and starting a new "feel sorry for me" thread, this was the lesser of two evils.
Anyway, I put my cat to sleep today. He was diagnosed with inoperable tumors two and a half years ago and wasn't supposed to last six months. That didn't make it much easier. But knowing he's not suffering anymore is slightly better than watching him struggle.
