I think we had Sam Tsui (Don't Stop Believing, and Michael Jackson Medley) before.

His Lady Gaga Medley is fantastic:

I actually watched through all their TNG overdubs. There are things that get referenced from one to another. It got to the point that just the mention of applejuice got me cracking up.

I wonder if the Joe Cocker thing inspired these. Or vice versa.

Apparently, they meant ישועה and got it wrong. And then Cohen refused to have it changed (it was added in post-production) because "controversy breeds publicity". Sounds just like you'd expect from Borat's brother.

There's a post from Y-Love (the Yiddish rapper) here.

I was just running back through this thread to check the links and realized that this link is to a video of someone I met - got to hang out with for a whole day.

His name is Mark Goffeney. He was born without arms.

Great performer and a fun guy.

Dr. Johnson on Blackadder The Third.

Saw this episode tonight and this bit struck me as comedy genius.

Can you guess which actor plays Dr. Johnson? (he has a significant role in an ongoing movie series.)

This hardly proves that point. I have a policy of giving to panhandlers that make me laugh so I would very likely have given money to this guy because I read his sign.

Someone actually did English subtitles for that gibberish thing. It's almost like the Joe Cocker at Woodstock thing.

A different subtitled version. This one goes with the more obvious (to me, anyway) choice of "eyes" instead of "highs" -- and it has some mild language.

Yeah, me too. It makes even less sense (although, really, some ACTUAL song lyrics make less sense yet! [Wink] ), but it sticks better to the actual sounds. And making less sense was rather the point of the original.

My daughter sings like this all the time. It drives me nuts because I keep listening to try to understand the words, and then I realize she's singing gibberish.

Of course, she'd be very much at home at a holy roller Christian church singing in tongues.

Interesting. Dawkins mentions this test in his most recent book The Greatest Show On Earth; it's interesting to actually see it.
